Hi. My name is John and I'm addicted to travel.

Hi, John.

I was born with FTAS- Fetal Travel Addiction Syndrome. My mom was hooked on white powdery sand beaches from an early age, so I never really stood a chance. For most of my life, I've been able to control my urges. Sure, a family trip to Cabo for Christmas, or a European cruise over summer break, but that was only because a last-minute weekend in Amsterdam or a week on Mykonos seemed much less feasable to my ten year-old self than his twenty-two year 0ld counterpart. Since I've gotten to college, my illness has only gotten worse. Buenos Aires, Paris and Toronto are just some of the streetcorners where I go to get my fix. This is not a plea for  help though. In fact, misery loves company, and I'm recruiting.

To me, one's college years provide a brief window of opportunity to go see things, have new experiences, and gain new perspectives that most people loose when they graduate and join the "real world". Everything on this site comes from the the point-of-view of an adventurous college student, so you won't find anything on "family friendly restaurants" or "great places to buy antiques". If you find yourself between the ages of say 18-30 however, please use this as a jumping-off point into your own world adventures.

This site features articles I write about location specific subjects during my travels, blogs that I update as frequently as I can while I'm traveling, and photos of where I've been. E-mail me at TravelGuyJohn@gmail.com. Go see something, safe travels!
